Our client is a higher educational institution in the United Arab Emirates. They are looking for an Associate Dean of Naval Science to join their institution.

The Associate Dean of Naval Science provides leadership in the development and successful delivery of the Naval Science Program at the Naval College, including curriculum, assessment, faculty development, and student progression. The Associate Dean oversees program operations to ensure that students achieve required learning outcomes. Working in conjunction with counterparts in the UAE Navy, the incumbent manages student success issues and ensures the effective implementation of the Quality Assurance system. In order to manage the delivery of courses and ensure current relevance, the incumbent works closely with the college senior management team and commanding officers in the UAE Navy. As such, previous experience working within a military-type environment is strongly desirable. This position is based at the Naval College within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline is required and a Doctoral Degree in a relevant discipline is desirable. The client is also looking for a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, with at least 5 years spent in a supervisory/leadership role coordinating academic or military programs; at least 3 years of teaching/training experience in a Naval Science program; a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience; a demonstrated expertise in a relevant subject area as evident through published research and other scholarly achievements; and experience in developing course curriculum and assessment tools as per accreditation and international standards.
